Our new REI Co-op is now open

After delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are thrilled to finally be open in Gainesville! Your new REI Co-op store offers limited in-store shopping with a wide assortment of quality outdoor gear. For those who prefer to shop online, REI Gainesville will also offer Buy Online, Pickup In Store starting July 29. Let us help you gear up for camping, biking, paddling, and more! We are located on SW 32^nd Ct in Butler Town Center.

For everyone’s safety, we will not be holding a grand opening event. However, we invite you to celebrate with us in other ways:

• Join our Facebook event page for updates about REI Gainesville.
• Take a virtual store tour before you visit.
• Try out a virtual class.
• If you shop in-store, you can round your total order up to the nearest dollar, and we’ll donate that amount to a select, local nonprofit.

While we love to help you get outside, our health and safety protocols mean things take a little longer than usual. Thanks for your patience as we work to keep everyone healthy and safe. Here’s what you can expect:

• We are limiting the number of people allowed in the store at once to adhere to social distancing standards.
• We will have socially distanced queuing at store entrances, cash registers and shop counters.
• REI employees are required to wear face coverings while in REI locations.
• We are also requiring all customers older than age 2 to wear face coverings while at REI stores, and are providing disposable face coverings for anyone who doesn’t have them.
